The Scrounger's summer favorites from Europa Editions

Excellent books that have been gaffled and devoured. Now if only these Europa titles were a bit easier to gaffle...I'm waiting for a local bookstore to create a huge Europa section.

Books inspire.
Inspiration that I scrounged from "On Writing" by Stephen King:
There was no miraculous breakthrough that afternoon, unless it was the ordinary miracle that comes with any attempt to create something. All I know is that the words started coming a little faster after awhile, then a little faster still...There was no sense of exhilaration, no buzz--not that day--but there was a sense of accomplishment that was almost as good. I'd gotten going, there was that much. The scariest moment is always just before you start. After that, things can only get better.
He said: "If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot." and "Fear is at the root of most bad writing. Good writing is about letting go of fear and affectation."
I also found a coveted LOST easter egg. I have no doubt this huevo has been discovered by a gazzillion others already, nevertheless, I was excited: "I sent you a table with a red cloth on it, a cage, a rabbit, and the number eight in blue ink. You got them all, especially that blue eight. We’ve engaged in an act of telepathy.”
This book must be gaffled! Mr. King, "On Writing" has been gaffled by the Scrounger!
